Ticket exchange
Ticket exchanges are processed in the back office and must be authorized by the event organizer.
There are two ways to do this:
1. Ticket refund and new purchase
Authorize the returnof the current ticket so that the participant:
- Submit your refund request via the digital ticket (estimated processing time is 7 business days after submitting the request).
- Then purchase the ticket you want.
⚠️ With this option, the participant pays the transaction fees twice, as they are non-refundable.
2. Suspension of the ticket and issuance of an invitation
This applies when the new ticket is thesame type and priceas the original ticket.
The process consists of two steps:
- Theparticipant'scurrent ticketissuspended, and they will no longer have access to the digital ticket.
- A specific invitationfor this exchange iscreatedand thensent to the participantby the back office.
About the invitation to create:
-
A dedicated invitationshould becreatedfor this type of situation, rather than using invitations already created for other purposes.
This way, all transactions are recorded separately, making it easier to review them later in reports and analyses.
- The name of the invitation should beclear and descriptive, for example, "Exchange – 18th."
⚠️ What if an upgrade is necessary?
For situations in which a passenger wishes to upgrade to a ticket of a higher class or price, a dedicatedupgrade option is availabledirectly within the digital ticket.
