KDS — Kitchen Display System
3cket's KDS (Kitchen Display System) allows you to manage and track orders in real time on-site, from receipt to delivery to the attendee.
Access to KDS
KDS is accessed via a web browser atdesk.3cket.com using the9-digit codecorresponding to the point of sale.
⚠️Unlike other features of 3cket Desk, KDS does not require the installation of any application—it works directly in your browser.
Order Status
Each order goes throughfoursequentialstages—displayed in columns on the screen—and at each stage, you can view all the information associated with the order (customer name, phone number, items in the order, and delivery address, if applicable):
- New— the request has just been submitted to the KDS and has not yet been processed.
- Processing— your order is being prepared.
- All done—your order is ready for pickup or delivery.
- Delivered— the order has been delivered to the participant.
To update an order's status, simplyclick on the corresponding card—the order will automatically move to the next status.
Notifications
You can notify the participant viaSMSwhen the order changes to the "Ready" status.
- Active— the customer receives a text message when the order is ready. Recommended for situations wherethe customer will pick up the orderat the counter.
- Inactive— no notifications are sent. Recommended forin-person delivery(default option).
SMS notifications are disabled by default. They can be enabled under Manage Event > Work Zones > Advanced Settings.
Additional settings
Products in the back office
When creating products in the back office, you must change the product type from"Cashless"(the default option) to"Store." Without this setting, orders will not appear in the KDS.
Orders placed by participants on their cell phones
If the event uses a system where participants place orders directly from their mobile phones, you must enable the"Wallet Store"module under Manage Event > Modules.
